Grace Widdicombe, Proud Democrat For South Eugene County Commissioner

Grace Widdicombe
Why run for office? I love Eugene! My family moved here over 20 years ago. However, I am increasingly frustrated by our toxic political climate with name-calling among our elected officials is far too common. This divisiveness not only hampers effective governance but also undermines the very fabric of our community. We need our leaders to embrace a more collaborative and constructive approach. That is what I will do as your Commissioner.

Stand With Grace

We can’t stand for this any longer!

Vote Grace for Lane County!

Grace’s Mission:

Fix our homelessness and lack of housing crisis in Lane County!

We have more than 4000 homeless individuals in Lane County!

And we are more than 8000 housing units short in Lane County!

Grace’s #1 Focus:

Build 10,000 more housing units in Lane County in the next couple of years and get the vulnerable stabilized.

Your Vote Matters!

The current commissioner has voted against more housing in Lane County time and time again! She has diverted millions of dollars of funding away from the crisis!

Other Priorities As County Commissioner

Work with our cities, haulers, and recycling processors to increase our waste diversion and recycling, without raising garbage rates exponentially for the benefit of a for-profit corporation.

Work with our community health care providers to bring back much-needed Emergency Room services to Eugene.

Work with partners to provide solutions for homelessness, addiction, and mental health to ease the burden on first responders.

Build a group to look strategically at our fairgrounds, keep the Eugene Emeralds, and revitalize the area.

Collaborate with education to create more vocational education opportunities for our youth.
